1. This is not how you should play Blood on the Clocktower.

    Actually Oops All Evil v1.1.2
  2. Actually Oops All Evil game starts with at least two evil teams, each having one Demon and same number of Minions. Remaining players are good.

Each evil team learns their teammates and receives bluffs as normal, but they don't learn of other evil teams.

Losing evil teams become good until there is only one evil team and then game proceeds until that team or the good team wins.

    Detailed rules under Djinn.

Ask players before the game how small or big the evil teams should be, announce minimum and maximum but do not tell them what the exact number is - that information is not available to the Outsiders or Minions who have (or think they might have) a Marionette on their team. When in doubt default to 3 (Demon and 2 Minions).

Avoid permanently drunking Demons, but do. It could be fun?

    v1.1.2: -Barber -Klutz -Evil Twin -Shabaloth -Lil' Monsta +Acrobat +Puzzlemaster +Golem +Lunatic +Virgormortis

  4. Goon

Each night, the 1st player to choose you with their ability is drunk until dusk. You become their alignment.

When the ability activates, Goon also joins the choosing player's team. If their alignment or team changed, they are informed of their current alignement.

    Examples

Moonchild chooses evil Goon. Nothing happens.

Imp is the first to chose good Goon. Imp is drunk until dusk, Goon is informed they are now evil, Goon joins Imp's team.

Lunatic is the first to chose evil Goon. Lunatic is drunk until dusk, Goon is informed they are now good.

    Outsider

  5. Acrobat

Each night*, if either good living neighbour is drunk or poisoned, you die.

    Outsider

  6. Puzzlemaster

1 player is drunk, even if you die. If you guess (once) who it is, learn the Demon player, but guess wrong & get false info.

Storyteller chooses one player to be drunked by the Puzzlemaster throughout the whole game. When the Puzzlemaster is drunk or poisoned, that player is sober. During the day, after publicly or privately guessing, Puzzlemaster learns one player.

    Examples

Puzzlemaster correctly guesses that Moonchild is their drunk. Imp and Vortox are alive. Storyteller privately tells the Puzzlemaster who the Vortox is.

    Outsider

  7. Sweetheart

When you die, 1 player is drunk from now on.

When Sweetheart dies, one player immediately becomes drunk for the rest of the game or until the Sweetheart player's character changes.

    Examples

Sweetheart is executed. Acrobat becomes drunk.

Imp kills the Sweetheart. Cerenovus becomes drunk.

    Outsider

  8. Golem

You may only nominate once per game. When you do, if the nominee is not the Demon, they die.

If Golem is drunk or poisoned when they nominate, they have used their once per game ability and will not kill anyone that way.

If Golem already nominated once, is now poisoned and nominates again - storyteller can choose to allow or deny that nomination.

    Outsider

  9. Moonchild

When you learn that you died, publicly choose 1 alive player. Tonight, if it was a good player, they die.

Alignment of the chosen player is determined at the time of choosing. Poison at the time of choosing is irrelevant.

    Examples

Moonchild is poisoned on Night 1 then killed by Psychopath on Day 1 and chose the Goon who at the time was good. On Night 2, if the Moonchild is sober and healthy, Goon dies regardless of current alignment.

    Outsider

  10. Lunatic

You think you are a Demon, but you are not. The Demon knows who you are & who you choose at night.

All Demons are told who the Lunatic is. When Lunatic chooses a player, all Demons are informed.

If the Lunatic thinks they are a Lleech, the actual Demons are told who Lunatic picked as host, but this is not differentiated from, for example, the Lunatic thinking they are a Pukka and choosing who to poison – the actual Demons would not know the difference.

    Examples

Lunatic is poisoned when choosing who to kill. Other Demons are not informed.

    Outsider

  11. Godfather

You start knowing which Outsiders are in play. If 1 died today, choose a player tonight: they die. [−1 or +1 Outsider]

    Minion

  12. Poisoner

Each night, choose a player: they are poisoned tonight and tomorrow day.

    Minion

  13. Devil's Advocate

Each night, choose a living player (different to last night): if executed tomorrow, they don't die.

    Minion

  14. Witch

Each night, choose a player: if they nominate tomorrow, they die. If just 3 players live, you lose this ability.

    Minion

  15. Cerenovus

Each night, choose a player & a good character: they are “mad” they are this character tomorrow, or might be executed.

In a game of Actually Oops All Evil the Cerenovus can choose any character that's on the script.

    Examples

Cerenovus chooses for Puzzlemaster to be mad about being the Vortox. Puzzlemaster is informed. Tomorrow, if they are not mad about being the Vortox, they might be executed.

    Minion

  16. Fearmonger

Each night, choose a player. If you nominate & execute them, their team loses. All players know if you choose a new player.

    Minion

  17. Pit-Hag

Each night*, choose a player & a character they become (if not-in-play). If a Demon is made, deaths tonight are arbitrary.

If a Demon is made, deaths tonight are arbitrary with respect to the Pit-Hag's team (and the team with the new Demon, if different teams). Deaths caused by abilities from other teams are unaffected.

    Examples

Pit-Hag is on Imp's team and changes Cerenovus on Pukka's team into a Lleech. Storryteller chooses for Pit-Hag, Pukka and Acrobat to die.

    Minion

  18. Psychopath

Each day, before nominations, you may publicly choose a player: they die. If executed, you only die if you lose roshambo.

If executed after self-nomination or Cerenovus madness, Psychopath plays roshambo against the storyteller.

    Minion

  19. Assassin

Once per game, at night*, choose a player: they die, even if for some reason they could not.

If Assassin is the first to choose the Goon, they join the Assassin's team and die.

    Minion

  20. Mezepheles

You start knowing a secret word. The 1st good player to say this word becomes evil that night.

The first non-Demon player from another team to say the secret word becomes Mezepheles' alignment and joins their team at Mezepheles' turn the following night. If Mezepheles is drunk or poisoned at that time, their ability is spent but there is no change.

The storyteller must hear/see the player use the word for the ability to work.

    Examples

Storyteller heard Cerenovus from another evil team say the secret word yesterday. Tonight, if Mezepheles is sober, healthy and has not used their ability yet, Cerenovus is shown "You are" card and thumbs down. They are now part of Mezepheles' team.

Storyteller heard Cerenovus from another evil team say the secret word yesterday. Mezepheles is poisoned. Nothing happens, but Mezepheles has "used their ability" and may not turn a player later on.

    Minion

  21. Scarlet Woman

If there are 5 or more players alive & the Demon dies, you become the Demon. (Travellers don’t count)

If the Scarlet Woman becomes a Demon, they become the same type of Demon that died.

Evil Scarlet Woman only becomes a Demon if a Demon on their team dies.

Good Scarlet Woman becomes a Demon if any Demon dies.

If a viable Fang Gu chooses an Outsider and dies, the Scarlet Woman does not become the Fang Gu.

Changes occur immediately after a viable Demon dies and the Scarlet Woman is informed at the earliest convenience, but only at night.

    Examples

Scarlet Woman is evil and a Demon from another team dies. Nothing happens.

Scarlet Woman is evil and Lleech from their team dies because Psychopath killed their host. Scarlet Woman immediately becomes a Lleech. Scarlet Woman is executed and does not die. At the start of the night, Scarlet Woman is asked to choose a host.

    Minion

  22. Marionette

You think you are a good character but you are not. The Demon knows who you are. [You neighbour the Demon]

Only Marionette's team Demon is told know who they are.

The Marionette neighbors their team's Demon.

The Marionette is never informed of changes to their alignment/team, unless they are drunk or poisoned at the time.

    Examples

Marionette thinks they are a Goon. Fearmonger chooses Marionette. Marionette does not change alignment and is not informed of anything.

Marionette thinks they are a Goon. There is no Goon in play and Pit-Hag chooses that player to be a Goon. The player who was previously a Marionette is woken up and informed they are now the Goon.

Marionette thinks they are a Goon. Vortox from a different evil team is shown Goon as one of the three not play characters.

    How to Run

In a live game add an extra outsider and hope one of them lands next to a Demon.

    Minion

  23. Fang Gu

Each night*, choose a player: they die. The 1st Outsider this kills becomes an evil Fang Gu & you die instead. [+1 Outsider]

The first time Fang Gu would kill an Outsider, the Outsider becomes a Fang Gu of the other Fang Gu's alignment and joins their team. Choosing Fang Gu dies instead. This can only happen once per game, even if all Fang Gus are removed from the game and put back in by a Pit-Hag.

    Examples

Acrobat was turned evil by Mezepheles and joined Imp's team. Fang Gu chooses the Acrobat. Fang Gu dies and the Acrobat becomes a Fang Gu, they are informed they are evil and they join the first Fang Gu's team.

    Demon

  24. Imp

Each night*, choose a player: they die. If you kill yourself this way, a Minion becomes the Imp.

If an Imp kills themselves, an alive Minion on their team becomes an Imp.

If an Imp kills themselves and there is an alive, sober and healthy Scarlet Woman on their team, the Scarlet Woman becomes the Imp.

If an evil Imp kills themselves and there are no alive Minions on an that Imp's team and there are other evil Demons alive, the Imp's team loses (becomes good) and a good Minion becomes an Imp. It might be a dead Minion.

If a good imp kills themselves a good Minion becomes an Imp. It might be a dead Minion.

    Examples

Imp chose themselves when no Minions on their team were alive. Evil Vortox is alive. Imp dies and their team becomes good. A good Scarlet Woman is dead. A good Cerenovus becomes an Imp.

A good Imp chose themselves. There are alive good Minions, but a dead good Mezepheles becomes an Imp.

    Demon

  25. Pukka

Each night, choose a player: they are poisoned. The previously poisoned player dies then becomes healthy.

While the Pukka is drunk or poisoned previously poisoned player is healthy and new choices do not become poisoned.

Once drunkness or poison affecting the Pukka ends, next time they choose the last successfully poisoned player dies then becomes healthy.

    Examples

Pukka is poisoned on Night 2. Tonight their choice is ignored. Tomorrow, if they are healthy, the player poisoned by Pukka on Night 1 dies.

Pukka chooses themselves, is briefly poisoned and immediately looses their ability, thus becoming healthy. They are the previously poisoned player and are slated to die to their ability the following night.

    Demon

  26. Vigormortis

Each night*, choose a player: they die. Minions you kill keep their ability & poison 1 Townsfolk neighbour. [−1 Outsider]

    Demon

  27. Lleech

Each night*, choose a player: they die. You start by choosing an alive player: they are poisoned - you die if & only if they die.

Sober and healthy Lleech cannot be killed directly via arbitrary deaths caused by Pit-Hag, but it can die to their ability if storyteller chooses to kill the host.

Self-hosting Lleech is briefly poisoned and immediately looses their ability, thus becoming healthy. Host part of the ability has no effect (Lleech can die), but they will be able to choose players to die.

If the host dies while the Lleech is poisoned, the Lleech does not die. When the Lleech becomes healthy again the host part of the ability has no effect (Lleech can die).

(These rulings are potentially more fun here, but the regular BotC recommended rule is for Lleech to die with the host even when drunk or poisoned.)

    Demon

  28. Vortox

Each night*, choose a player: they die. Townsfolk abilities yield false info. Each day, if no-one is executed, evil wins.

    Only Vortox's team wins.

    Examples

Noone is executed. All other evil teams lose and become good, their Demons die. Evil wins.

    Demon

  29. Djinn

Use the Djinn's special rule. All players know what it is.

The game starts with at least two evil teams, each having one Demon and same number of Minions.

Outsider count is arbitrary, setup modyfing abilities pertaining to Outsiders are ignored.

Each evil team starts informed of their team like in a regular game, but know nothing about the other team(s).

The good team may start with no players.

When an evil team loses and there is at least one other evil team still in play, players from the evil team that lost become good.

The winning team is the last team eligible to win.

An evil team loses if they have no alive Demon.

After an evil team loses to an ability, their Demon dies.

The good team loses if there are two or less players alive and one of them is an evil Demon.

In the event of a tie, the good team wins.

The good team that has already lost to an ability can still win because of a tie.

Not in play characters Demons are shown might include information about Demons not in play. That information may be the same for multiple teams, information about characters of other types is unique between teams.
