    Utrecht Homebrews

💖 Welcome to Barbie Land 💖

The Kazali and The Scarlet Woman have been transported into Barbie Land. Will they survive a world full of dance parties, beach-offs, and singing?

    📝 Rule of the Script

There is always an even number of Barbies and Kens... unless of course Earring Magic Ken is in play!

    🌸 Location: Outside

This script was designed to be played outdoorsi n the sun, with players dressed in pink and sipping sparkling pink mimosas 💕☀️🍸

You can try to play it online but I havn't tested it so dunnoo

    💩 Stinky Fingers (Effect)

    • Triggered when players touch Tanner’s poops.
    • Players may misregister as evil.
    • Their abilities may malfunction due to the smell.
    • Pooper Scooper Barbie is the only one immune!

    💔 Heartbroken

    When a character is heartbroken:

    • Their ability may give false information.
    • Or it may malfunction

    🌴 Beach-Off

A vibe battle where players show off their energy, talent, and vibes.

    🤠 Showdown

A dramatic 1vs1 cowboy-style faceoff with paces, pistols, and style.

    ✨ Malfunction ✨ (Definition)

A Malfunction ✨ means the normal rules don’t apply! The character’s ability might backfire, trigger incorrectly, or produce totally unexpected results. Anything is possible in barbie land! 💖🎀✨

    Kazali’s Dreamhouse
  2. Kazali’s dream house is a script I created with my local homebrew group. I made the script for a Barbie themed day where we dressed in pink and played barbie themed scripts. It was inspired by another homebrew script ‘Barbie on the Clocktower’ but I wanted the Barbies and Kens to be more loud and dramatic. A lot of the abilities are very loud and require either announcing something or doing a specific action to activate. From doing push ups, starting a dance party or performing a beach off with another player.

Originally I wanted to create a new demon for the script but decided against it as I want to flesh out the townsfolk characters more. I do like the Kazali as it gives the Mojo Dojo Casa vibe of picking players to convert.

We ran it a couple times and it worked well and was very funny. Especially to watch the beach offs.

This is the first homebrew that I have ‘completed’. I am happy with any feedback or advice.

Characters have been created with me and members of my group, some are just Official Characters with a twist and some original. One I have taken from Chinese home brew: The Demeter Car Barbie - Is originally called The Demon Cat - from the script - ‘Three Teachings Nine Paths’

  4. Fashionista Barbie

Start knowing a clue relating to the fashion choices of the evil team.

“Darling, I can spot a villain faster than I can spot a knockoff handbag.”

On the first night, Fashionista Barbie wakes to receive a subtle clue about the fashion of the evil team. After that it’s all up to her sense of style and fashion to guide the good team.

    Examples

If the evil team is in casual hoodies and sneakers:
    Tell Fashionista Barbie: “Laidback”

If the evil team is mismatched or chaotic in style:
    Tell Fashionista Barbie: “Unfashionable”

If the Minion and a good player are both wearing hats and bathers:
    Tell Fashionista Barbie: “Beach fashion”

    How to Run

Wake up Fashionista Barbie and give them a subtle clue based on the fashion of the evil players outfits. Write it on your phone or something to show Fashionista barbie. Then instruct barbie to close their eyes.

Think of it as more flexible investigator . Try to include a good player as part of the clue.

  6. Pooper Scooper Barbie

You are immune to stinky poops. Each day you can look for Tanners poops and put them in the bin. [+Tanner]

    “Tanner poops. I scoop. ”

Each day, Pooper Scooper Barbie may search for Tanner’s poops (hidden by Tanner). If she finds one, she removes it from play by putting it in the bin. She’s immune to the stinky effects of poops and can help keep the game clean.

    Examples

    Example 1

Night 1: Tanner (good) hides a poop somewhere in the game area.

Day 1: Pooper Scooper Barbie searches and finds the poop. They pick it up and put it in the bin.

Night 2: Because all poops are in the bin, Tanner doesn't turn evil tonight.

    Example 2

Night 1: Tanner carefully hides a poop somewhere in the game area.

Day 1: Pooper Scooper Barbie searches but fails to find the hidden poop. It remains active in the game.

Night 2: Since one or more poops remain outside the bin, Tanner becomes evil.

    Example 3

Night 3: Tanner hides a poop somewhere in the game area.

Day 3: Chef Ken accidentally touches the poop, gaining the stinky fingers effect.

Day 3: Chef Ken picks up the poop and puts it in the bin.

Night 4: All poops are now in the bin, so Tanner remains good.

That night, Earring Magic Ken’s ability shows Chef Ken as evil (due to the stinky fingers effect).

    How to Run

During the day phases, allow Pooper Scooper Barbie to search the area for any hidden poop.

If all poops are found and placed in the bin by the end of the day, Tanner remains good during the following night.

If any poop remains hidden or outside the bin, Tanner’s ability activates at night, turning Tanner evil.

Additionally, if any other characters clearly touch the poo during the day place the stinky fingers reminder on them - they immediately may register as evil and their ability may misfire until next dusk

  7. Wintersport barbie

You learn a temperature depending on how close an alive evil player sits next to you

“Oooh is it just me or is it getting hot in here?”

    Examples

    Example 1: “Cold”

Night 2: Wintersport Barbie (Jamie) wakes. Jamie is seated opposite side of the circle from all evil players.

Storyteller: Acts as if shivering, rubbing arms, blowing into hands to indicate cold.

    Example 2: "Luke-warm"

Wintersport Barbie is seated between Ken and Jules, who are both good. However Luke, who is evil, is seated two seats to the left of her.

At night, the Storyteller wakes Wintersport Barbie and gently waves a hand with a neutral expression to signal “Lukewarm”

    Example 2: “Hot”

Night 3: Wintersport Barbie (Nina) wakes. She is seated between Mitch (evil) and Theun (good).

Storyteller: Wipes forehead dramatically, fans self, and pretends to be sweating signaling hot.

    How to Run

When you wake the player you may shiver to indicate cold or act hot etc... or if its easier show them written text displaying a temperature e.g. show them 'hot'

  8. Pop star barbie

Each night: If you sing, pick another singer (once per player) and gain their ability until your next selection. If they're evil, you're poisoned until choosing a good player.

“Come on barbie! Come on Ken! Lets sing!”

    Examples

    Example 1:

Night 2: Pop Star Barbie starts singing 'Barbie Girl'.

Night 2: 3 other players join in singing during the night.

End of Night 2: Pop Star Barbie wakes and is shown the 3 players who sang along. She chooses Disco Barbie.

Day 2: Pop star barbie now has the disco ability. If she starts a dance party today, then tomorrow night she will be shown how many dancers were evil.

    Example 2:

Night 3: Pop Star Barbie sings again. Two players join her in song: Luke and Jules.

She selects Luke, who is bluffing to be Fashionista Barbie but is actually evil.

Pop Star Barbie gains the Fashionista Barbie ability, but since Luke is evil, she is poisoned and receives false or no information.

Tonight she also wakes up learns false information with the fashion clue "Summer vibes"

Remember: Pop Star Barbie is poisoned until she sings with and selects a good player.

“Order! Order! Me a pink mimosa”

    Townsfolk

  10. Disco Barbie

Once a day you may start a dance party. The following night learn how many players who danced are evil.

    “Every day is disco night.”

    Examples

    Example 1:

During the day, Disco Barbie begins dancing. Jolan and Mitch join in. The Storyteller notes them as dancers.

Jolan is good and Mitch is evil ,so that night the Storyteller wakes Disco Barbie and shows her the number 1.

    Example 2:

Disco Barbie starts dancing in the morning and Luke, Ken, and Jules join. Later in the day, she starts a second dance party, but only the first is counted.

Of the three dancers, only Luke is evil. That night, Disco Barbie is shown the number 1.

The second dance party is ignored, only the first is relevant.

    How to Run

If you see Disco Barbie dancing, note which players danced with her, you may use the Danced! token if needed.

At night, wake Disco Barbie and show her a number depending on the amount of dancers that were evil.

If Disco Barbie started multiple dance parties during the day, only count the first dance party.

Feel free to play music during the day to help inspire and get the party started!

    Townsfolk

  11. Chef Ken

You start knowing how many pairs of Barbies there are.

“If you can't stand the heat, get out of my kitchen”

    Townsfolk

You start knowing a barbie. If you die she becomes heartbroken.

“I'm not a sugar daddy. This is Sugar, and I'm her daddy.”

    How to Run

Wake up Sugar Daddy and point to a Barbie. Place the Sugar Token on that player.

If Sugar Daddy ever dies, place the Heartbroken Token on the Barbie holding the Sugar Token

    Townsfolk

  13. Beach Ken

Once per day, you may challenge another player to a Beach-Off. If the group declares you the winner (via cheers or vibe vote), the Storyteller gives the alignment of the loser to the winner.

    “Alright! Lets beach-off!”

    Examples

    Example 1: Beach-Off

Jolan is Beach Ken and declares a beach-off against Luke.

Storyteller: "Jolan claims Beach Ken and declares a beach-off against Luke."

    • Jolan starts rapping and finishes with a back-flip.
    • Luke sings while dancing and performs the routine perfectly.

Storyteller: "Let’s hear cheers now for Jolan!"

    Town: "Woo woo!"

Storyteller: "Let’s hear cheers now for Luke!"

    Town: "Woooooo wooo wooooo!"

Storyteller: "I announce by vibes and cheers that Luke is the winner of the beach-off!"

    🌙 Night Phase

Storyteller: Since Jolan was Beach Ken and Luke won the beach-off, the Storyteller wakes Luke and shows him the alignment of Jolan.

    Example 2: Evil Bluff

Maria (an evil player) bluffs as Beach Ken and declares a beach-off against Eli.

Storyteller: "Maria claims Beach Ken and challenges Eli to a beach-off!"

    • Maria gives a dramatic spoken-word poem about the ocean breeze, followed by a slow spin.
    • Eli breakdances to the Barbie theme song and ends in the splits.

Storyteller: "Let’s hear cheers now for Maria!"

    Town: "Yay..."

Storyteller: "Let’s hear cheers now for Eli!"

    Town: "WOOOOOOO!"

Storyteller: "I declare Eli the winner of the beach-off by vibes!"

    🌙 Night Phase

Storyteller: Because Maria is not truly Beach Ken, Eli is not woken and no information is shown.

Maria’s evil bluff does not trigger the alignment check.

    How to Run

When a player declares a beach-off announce it to the rest off the Group. "Theun declares a beach off against Mitch"

Give time for each to give a performance.

At the end of the performances announce that its time to cheer for the winner of the beach off.

Example: "Lets hear cheers for Theun" wooo wooo wooo!! "Now lets here cheers for Mitch" Woo o boo

Now announce the winner: "I announce by vibes and cheers that Theun is the winner of the beach off!"

Now at night if Theun's character is beach Ken show him the alignment(At the time of the beach-off) of Mitch.

Make all beach-offs fun and exciting even if its a bluff.

If its not clear who won do more rounds of cheers until it is clear. If it takes 5 rounds of cheers thats okay have fun with it!

    Townsfolk

  14. Muscle Beach Ken

During the day if you perform 10 push ups you are safe from the demon tonight.

    How to Run

Watch during the day. If you observe Muscle Ken work out - place the Strong token on their character.

You can allow players to do other things then pushups to make the character more accessible - Like doing squats or spinning around a few times. Make sure to announce this to the group.

    Townsfolk

  15. Artist Ken

Each day, you may give the Storyteller a painting you "painted" that day. That night, the Storyteller will give you a clue inspired by your piece of art.

“I will draw you like one of my french barbies!”

    Examples

    Example 1:

Artist Ken during the day draws an image that resembles one of the players and shows the Storyteller (ST).

During the night, Artist Ken wakes and is told the clue 'Beach vibes' because the player he drew is Beach Ken.

    Example 2:

Artist Ken during the day draws an image that resembles Pooper Scooper.

During the night, Artist Ken wakes and is told: "Pooper Scooper is not in play - there is only one outsider."

Bring art supplies or pen and paper so Artist Ken or players bluffing Artist Ken have something to draw on.

    Townsfolk

  16. Western Ken

Once per game, during the day, publicly yell 'YEE-HAW" and choose a player to start a showdown. If you win against an evil player they die tonight.

“This dreamhouse ain’t big enough for two Kens.”

    Showdown

You and a chosen player stand back-to-back in the center of the group.

At the storyteller’s count, take three paces forward -(Cowboy style).

On the storyteller’s dramatic cue (“DRAW!”), both players turn and point like firing a pistol.
(Fake pistols or water pistols are encouraged!)

    The first to fire wins.

If WesternKen wins and the opponent is evil, the evil player dies tonight.

    Examples

    Example 1:

During the day, Western Ken loudly yells “YEE-HAW!” and starts a showdown with Luke.

After the dramatic count, both take three paces forward and draw pistols.

Western Ken is quicker and wins the showdown.

That night, since Luke is evil, Luke dies.

    Example 2:

During the day, Western Ken shouts “YEE-HAW!” and chooses Ken to duel.

The showdown takes place with dramatic flair, but Ken is quicker and wins.

Because Ken is good, nobody dies that night.

  17. Hype-man Ken

During the day, you may loudly compliment a player's vibe. Tonight, they are immune to targeted abilities

    “I can feel the vibes!”

    Examples

    Example 1:

During the day, Hype-man Ken loudly compliments Jolan by saying, “I love your positive energy and radiant vibes Jolan, lets get this demon!”

Place the Hyped! token on Jolan.

That night, Jolan is immune to targeted abilities.

    Example 2:

During the day, Hype-man Ken compliments Luke and then later compliments Mitch.

Move the Hyped! token from Luke to Mitch, the most recent complimented player.

That night, only Mitch gains immunity to targeted abilities.

    Example 3:

Hype-man Ken is quiet during the day and doesn’t compliment anyone.

No Hyped! tokens are placed, and no players gain immunity that night.

    How to Run

If you hear someone get complimented publicly by Hype-man Ken, place the Hyped! token on the complimented player. Remove the token at the end of the night phase.

If the Hype-man Ken compliments multiple players, place the token on the most recent player to be complimented.

    Townsfolk

  18. Earring Magic Ken

If you hold hands with another Ken during the night phase learn they are a Ken [-1 barbie]

    “Hey there Kenss!!”

    How to Run

    • During the night phase, allow Earring Magic Ken to attempt to hold hands with any player.
    • If Earring Magic Ken and the chosen player hold hands AND that player is a Ken, whisper: "He’s a Ken."... or wake up Ken and nod yes
    • If they hold hands with a Barbie or non-Ken character, say nothing and return them to sleep.

You may allow hand chains to reach further Kens, Earring Magic Ken may need to reach the other side of the circle. You may allow him to link hands with multiple players and count the end player of the chain

    Townsfolk

  19. Tanner

    Examples

    Example 1:

Night 1: Tanner hides a poop in a the game area.

Day 1: Players find the poop and place it in the bin.

(Any player who touches the poop gains the stinky fingers effect).

Night 2: Since all poops have been found and placed in the bin, Tanner remains good.

    Example 2:

Night 1: Tanner hides a poop under a bench, well hidden.

Day 1: Townsfolk search but fail to find the hidden poop.

The poop remains in the game, not placed in the bin.

Night 2: Since there are still hidden poops, Tanner becomes evil.

    Example 3:

Night 1: Tanner hides a poop behind the speaker.

Day 1: The townsfolk fail to find the poop

Night 2: Since Tanner poops remains out Tanner turns evil tonight and Tanner hides a second poop under a table.

Day 2: The second poop under the table is found and placed in the bin, but the first one is still not discovered.

Night 3: Because one poop from Night 1 is still out in the game area, Tanner remains evil.

    How to Run

You need two things to run Tanner:

    • A poop supply: these are poops that Tanner can place.
    • A bin: a place where townsfolk can place the poops.

Each night, wake Tanner. Depending on the seating/location, Tanner may get up and hide a poo otherwise, Tanner points out a poop hiding location for the storyteller to place a poop

At the start of each night, check if all poos have been found if they are all found Tanner is good. If there are still poops remaining that have not been found, Tanner remains/becomes evil.

Make it clear to all players what the poops look like. Make the bin and location of the bin clear. Make sure to keep track of how many poops have been placed vs how many have been found.

Any player may touch or move the poops but they will gain the stinky fingers effect.
