Playtest 7/1/23 - General fun but a few abilities overpowered and decided the game. Tweaks for v2.0
v2.0 (8/1/23) Improved reminder tokens, reduced number of roles seen by Samuel Vimes and number of attempts, Carrot must now pick a different player each night, Patrician cannot stop nominations in the final 3, Teatime cannot kill when dead outnumber living, Ahmed now gains the ability to kill in public once per game. DEATH (now in capitals) can now see the grim at the start before minions act in order to place tokens. Leonard of Quirm added in place of Lu Tze

You start as fairy godmother to one good player. If they are killed you learn two possible names of who killed them, one is true.
Townsfolk

Start knowing 3 players, 1 townsfolk, 1 outsider and 1 minion (If no outsiders are in play learn 2 townsfolk)

Each night* choose 2 players, one is protected from demons and minions, the other is drunk.

Each night* choose a player, if they are evil they will be arrested and unable to use their abilities until this time tomorrow. You must choose a different player to the night before.

Each night, choose a player. Both of you may receive wrong information, both of you might not die.

Each night, pick 2 players, learn if at least 1 of them woke. If you choose Twoflower then he will be freed.

Each night, learn one in play townsfolk. At two points in the game, visit the storyteller, if you can name all in play townsfolk, learn the demon bluffs.

Once per game, during the day, visit the storyteller and choose a player to pass your invention on to. That player may either act twice at night, gain the ability to kill in public once or bring back one dead player at night.

Once per game, visit the storyteller, pull objects from your knickers. They will represent the roles of all players who died so far.

Once per game, at night, learn how many places from you an evil player is. If you do, you may pick one player, they die. (+Gaspode)

You start the game imprisoned. If freed by Rincewind then your luggage may kill one person you speak to the following night
Outsider

Each night, one of your inventions makes someone's information incorrect.

If any player apart from Angua correctly identifies you as your role in public (each character type may only get one guess), you could be executed. If Angua correctly states you as your role, they may learn a second evil.

The first time you die, you don't, but you appear dead to others.

At the start of the game, choose a good player. If you and they are still alive they will die during nominations on day 3. Once per game, you may choose one player in public to die, they do (the second ability cannot be used if 5 or less players are alive)

Each night* pick a player and a role. If these match, that player dies. You lose this ability when the dead outnumber the living.

Each Night pick a player, they are poisoned. If they are sarcastic the next day they die.

Once per game, at night, choose one player and change their role (+1 outsider)

At the start of the game you are shown the grim, put numbered hourglasses on each player, players die in this order, one each night. Once per game you may change the position of 2 hourglasses.

Each night* pick a player, they die. Each night choose two players (one if there are less than 6 alive), their nominations result in no death. (This does not work if there are 3 players left alive)

Each night* pick a player, they die. Once per game, at night, choose one player. This player may choose to become evil or die.

Each night* wake with fellow auditors and choose one other player by vote. This player will be woken and select another player, they die (you cannot die this way). One player next to the chosen player may be poisoned. If you nominate a player and they are executed, you may die that night. (All minions are Auditor)

Each night, choose one player, if they were to die tonight or the next day, you will die instead. You are mad that you are not protecting anyone.

Whilst you are in the game, one character of the opposite alignment may have their ability not function correctly.

Once per game, at night, you may choose to give the last executed player their ability one more time.

Once per game, during the day, visit the storyteller and choose one player. That night only (and for the next day) that player will get to act as any role on the script they wish. If that role is in play they are poisoned that night.
