1. This script is run with a Toymaker when playing as a teensy (blame Tezzeret).

  2. Changelog

Thanks Cuv for a lot of feedback.

    • Tezzeret loses their ability if they die at night, instead of never.
    • Urza poisons Phyrexians that choose him.
    • Dovin turns off with 3 living players, and can't choose the same player twice in a row.
    • Phyrexians make new Phyrexians at dawn, players only might die.
    • Phyrexians now Kazali the Outsider count.

    After First Playtest (2024-06-19)

    • Ugin learns 3 out-of-play demons from in play demons due to bad interactions with Nahiri/Bolas at low player counts.
    • Nissa "Each night, learn how many different players chose you tonight." >> "Each day, publicly choose a player; they cannot die tonight."
    • Kenrith changed to outsider. "Each night, if all living Kenriths agree, the chosen player's vote counts for one extra. The extra Kenrith might be evil. [+1 Kenrith]" >> "Each night, choose a player. Their vote counts for 1 less tomorrow. [There can be multiple Kenriths]"
    • Liliana can now hand extra vote tokens to players who are alive or who already have vote tokens.
    • Gideon now drunks the townsfolk they save.
    • Reworked Venser, since none of the outsiders on this script want to be saved anymore.
    • Added Wrenn.
    • Karn is less Official Golem and more of a pacifist (not the Official character).
    • Kaya is a now traveler. Should be more fun.
    • Replaced Kaito with Vraska.
    • Ashiok has a new ability.
    • Ob Nixilis gained Ashiok's old ability.
    • Nahiri now only might register as the good townsfolk they saw, due to Chandra and the potential for the new Gideon to drunk them.
    • BOLAS has been nerfed. Mathematics states there are player counts where Bolas couldn't lose. Now, they choose one less player and their most recent choice is poisoned.
    • Garruk now poisons players that choose them instead of killing them. Garruk now kills a neighbor of their choice, instead of their choice.
    • Number of Eldrazi in the game capped at 2. Any more are minions.
    • Since Phyrexians are created at dawn, they can now safely kill each night*.
    • There is now only the need for 1 jinx. Only the Elspeth/Nahiri jinx remains, and its a quality of life jinx similar to Cerenovus/Goblin.
    • Examples for all characters have been updated to separate Characters from Players with characters.
    • Art Updated
    • Nissa to be changed to be formatted correctly (ala the Alsaahir)

    Examples

    • It is Night 1. Ajani chooses Ruza, the Elspeth, and Ussaze, the Nissa. Ruza is drunk and doesn't die to her own ability. Ussaze doesn't wake because she doesn't act at night.
    • It is Night 2, Ajani chooses Jaknah, the Vivien, and Elmi, a Kenrith. Jaknah uses her ability now and Elmi is drunk. Jaknah does not act later.
    • It is Night 3. Ajani chooses Jeng, the Nahiri with the Chandra ability, and Yirmu, the Teferi. Yirmu is drunk, and Jeng immidiately uses their Nahiri ability, then is told Chandra information again.

    Examples

    • Liliana chooses Kitsi, the dead Ashiok, who is resurrected.
    • Liliana chooses Lan, the Urza, who has spent his dead vote. Lan regains his dead vote but stays dead.
    • Liliana chose Ogall, who is alive. Later, Ogall is dead. They go to use their vote on a nomination. The storyteller doesn't confiscate their vote token.

    How to Run

    Examples

    • Vraska, who neighbors two Phyrexians, is executed. Tongiht, the shows Venser a 3, since Vraska was also evil.
    • Bolas kills the Karn, who neighbors the living Ob Nixilis on the left, and the dead Jace and living Wrenn on the right. The Storyteller shows Venser a 1.

    How to Run

    • Both of the living neighbors are evaluated.

Once per game, during the day, visit the Storyteller to learn how a player did something suboptimal.

“Your legend travels farther than your feet. My legend travels only precisely as far.”

    Examples

    • The storyteller tells Wrenn that the Dovin should have chosen Billil yesterday, but doesn't explain that that it's because Billil is the Nissa who protected the neighbor of Garruk's choice last night, and that the other neighbor was a minion.
    • The storyteller tells Wrenn that Nid shouldn't have chosen themself last night, but doesn't explain that it's because they are the only living Phyrexian.
    • The storyteller tells Wrenn that the Liliana should have chosen a different player last night, but doesn't explain it's because they are talking about the Nahiri with the Liliana ability who chose their Ashiok.

    Examples

    • There are 12 players and both Chandra and Venser are in the bag. The Storyteller decides to put 3 Kenriths in the bag and a Karn, instead of one of each.
    • There is 1 Kenriths in play, who chooses Gideon in the night. Gideon's vote counts for 0 votes tomorrow.
    • There are 2 Kenriths in play, both of whom choose Ashiok in the night. Ashiok's vote counts for -1 votes tomorrow.

    How to Run

    • The only player to choose Zonna, the Vraska, is the Vivien. Vraska chooses and kills the Ashiok and becomes Good, since Vivien acts after Vraska.

“See that no one enters or leaves New Prahv today. And notify me at once of any Planeswalker activity.”

    Examples

    • The Urza is detained. He attempts to choose Kenrith. Tonight, no Kenrith dies. The Urza has not used his ability.
    • The Ajani is detained. He attempts to nominate the Gideon. The Storyteller tells him he cannot.
    • The Garruk is detained. Jace attempts to nominate the Garruk. The Storyteller tells him he cannot.

    How to Run

Dovin does not stop the chosen player from speaking. It cannot, as the chosen player is not told that they have been affected by Dovin's ability. Instead, treat the statements made by the affected player as being ignored by the Storyteller. If this character was played with official TPI characters, some examples of "public statements" are Gossips, Juggles, and Mezepheles words.

Players who have been chosen by Dovin and cannot nominate can still have other players nominate on their behalf. Dovin cannot and should not prevent a player from taking over the accusation or defense of another player.
